  1. These ABC steps will start the process of healing and continue on with b and c. I think the hardest one is A, to acknowledge one needs help, it took me till I was 78. I was so hung up on I could survive anything since I grew up in a abusive home and survived. One thing I learned about survivors is they are alway on guard even when they don’t know it. It’s taken me years to admit I had and still have anxiety from my survivor life. PTSD was something soldier got from going to war in my mind but I can now see I have had it since a child. Fear brings it on and when that fear is daily that caused deep painful ruts in my mind. Thankful for people you and all therapists who work with people like me. Thank You

    • Wow. Thanks so much for sharing that part of your story; I admire your courage and willingness to keep growing and learning and healing, even into your 70s. That’s so inspiring…

  2. Hi Jonathon, It’s been a while since we talked. In the last 2 years, I have been sort of rethinking and untangling things that I was taught or have taught to others. And i’ve also been starting to deal with a lot of different trauma. My challenge is that is returning missionary.I have very little finances, and I’m trying to find a support that’s more than trauma informed and that I can afford. So if you have any suggestions , I would love that.

    Blessings,

    • Hello there! Yeah, it can be such a challenge to balance healing and finances and time and energy and all the things! One low cost option that I often recommend is checking out podcasts and books. Try Softer by Aundi Kolber is excellent, and I imagine there are a lot of podcasts with her that could be helpful. Any podcast with Jenilee Goodwin is going to be excellent. Also, Global Trellis has a variety of inexpensive online trainings that might be really helpful. I hope that’s helpful for you on the journey…
